Each year I look forward to this blanket of delicate white blooms that adorns much of our home's facade. Specifically it is a perennial known as Sweet Autumn Clematis. This is not the only late-flowering clematis variety but certainly is one of my favorites as it is hearty, and provides nesting habitat for small song birds and shade for the house.
