Abstract Art

Abstract art yes but also a flamingo.  For some reason these brightly and beautifully colored (but very stinky) creatures are some of my favorite subjects to photograph.  After thinking about why I subject myself to that pungent smell, I know it's because they are clearly unique and elegant in their own right.  Such great shapes and textures all in one thing-- that's what I like.  So, enjoy the intriguing lines and casual elegance of this fascinating creature ....without any of the odor.

A Glance

"To be content with life or to live merrily, rather all that is required
is that we bestow on all things only a fleeting, superficial glance;
the more thoughtful we become the more earnest we grow."
                                                                          --Georg C. Lichtenberg

Art Lesson

"The whole culture is telling you to hurry,
while the art tells you to take your time.
Always listen to the art."

Blooms Abound

"If you've never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower
in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom."

April Arrives

"The beautiful spring came; and when Nature resumes
 her loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also."
