Rocking the Garden

 

Occasionally random, unexpected items grab my attention and make me laugh....and I love it when that happens.  

Anyway, recently that is exactly what happened as I passed by the new outdoor garden décor while shopping for art supplies.  As seen in the photo, I found Elvis belting out the tunes as a gnome.  My guess is that he is a showstopper in any garden he calls home.  

Ahhhh....it is fun to laugh, fun to be surprised by silly things and fun to share some fun.

And, that is something beautiful.  Have some fun today.

Patterns

Patterns are everywhere.  Those seen in the images above and below are from public spaces and are quite obvious and bold; however, some, as seen in the first photo, are more subtle and enhance their surroundings without occupying the spotlight.  

Take a look in your home and landscaping as well as in your favorite public spaces.  Notice any patterns?   Patterns are something beautiful worth noticing....ahhhhhh.

 

I Spy Daffodils

Yep!  Those yellow specks in these photos are daffodils.  Ahhhhh....When I see these emerge from their winter slumber, it feels as if I had a head-to-toe makeover in which hope springs eternal and optimism fills my being.  

Anyway, these images were taken in the Garvan Woodland Gardens near Hot Springs, Arkansas.  

The view below is terrific with daffodils on the forest floor in the foreground, Lake Hamilton on the horizon and the Ouachita Mountains beyond.  Que buena vista!

This photo is from Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  The property is a 210-acre botanical and woodland gardens owned by the University of Arkansas.
