What's this?

For someone who loves lines, patterns, design, architecture and so on, this photo is like winning the lottery.  In a recent post I featured photos of the Anthony Chapel located in Garvan Woodland Gardens near Hot Springs, Arkansas, and this is the ceiling of that amazing structure.  The light.  The symmetry.  The design....ahhhhh....definitely something beautiful.

For kids:

https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/kids-create-with-zentangle-2214499?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=creatorshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=odclsxcollection&utm-source=cp&aff=escb

For adults:

The above links contain specific details for each class.  Find the date(s) that best fit(s) your schedule as there are classes in June, July and August.

Each class is separate; therefore, you must get a ticket for each class.

The classes are fun and relaxing as we put pen to paper following my simple, step-by-step instructions using repetitive patterns.  Only a few basic supplies are needed.

Also, please help me spread the word by sharing this with friends and family.  Thank you.

Pretty in Pella

Tulips
                                                     --by V.W. Lachicotte

In the garden tulips grow
Straight and golden in a row.
Each one holds its empty cup
Drinking rain and sunshine up.

Tulip Time in Pella

The city of Pella, Iowa, is widely known for its Dutch roots and this annual springtime tradition featuring thousands of tulips.  The scenes are stunning and amazingly beautiful.  What an undertaking each fall to plant over 120,000 bulbs yet the results are consistently awesome.  Look for more images in upcoming posts as tulips are some of my favorite things.

Bee Installation

Currently at Reiman Gardens in Ames, Iowa, this super beautiful sculpture along with several others by the amazingly talented artist Alex Hevert adorn the multi-acre grounds.  The third image contains specific information pertaining to this particular sculpture.  The exhibit, "Glass in Flight," includes all sorts of winged creatures in gorgeous colors and made durable enough to withstand the elements.  It is a feast for the senses.  Of course, in coming posts I will feature more highlights; however, a trip to explore on your own is a terrific idea.

Hillside of Hyacinths

More of these dreamy spring images taken during a recent visit to Reiman Gardens on the ISU campus in Ames, Iowa.

Ahhhhh.....tulips, daffodils, hyacinths.  So many blooming things.  This is Mother Nature's version of a spring fling, and I am her staff photographer.  Lucky me!
