A Celebration
Wow!
2000 blog posts...
In early 2012 I took a writing workshop in which the instructor suggested we have an online presence ... hmmmm ...
That was no problem as I love taking photos and sharing them....with anyone who will have a look. So in March of that year I opened a gmail account and figured out enough to launch this blog in which I primarily post my pictures and my designs created from them.
Of course, in the nearly fourteen years since the first post, it is interesting to note how many things have evolved...
For example, now I take most photos with my phone; however, initially I was using a digital camera and eventually graduated to a high-end Canon DSLR with a few different lenses.
Also, because the images were captured on a memory card, I primarily transferred the photos to a desktop computer and then used a version of Photoshop to edit and so on...this was a cumbersome process.
And, for a few years, I posted weekly Monday through Friday...whew! Eventually, after convincing myself that that was too much, I settled on twice per week -- Mondays and Thursdays...much better.
Anyway, above all, this blog has been a gift for my soul as it creates beautiful things and shares them with the world...what's better? Yes, I love color, black and white, patterns, nature, design, textures, words, quotes, stories, puzzles and CREATING...and then SHARING my creations.
So, thank you to the workshop instructor for opening my eyes to this opportunity in which I can share my heart and soul with the world. And, thank you to loyal viewers as I hear from several of you and truly appreciate your kind words.
Cheers to the first 2000 posts and here's to many more 😊
