Oh, DEER!
Early this summer I went to a local park where some animals are housed outdoors, including this entertaining female deer. When I got close to where she was resting, I expected her to ignore the camera or move to another location; however, that was not the case as she seemed to pose with her mouth and cheeks in peculiar glances. And, although I still don't understand her actions, I continue to laugh at the photos of this goofy deer winking and posing as a chipmunk!

Look Up!
Day and night Mother Nature creates some spectacular scenes just overhead, including today's featured shots. The clouds look like giant mounds of cotton candy while the crescent moon lingers quietly in the night sky. Step outside and take a look!

Special Guests
Recently my sister and her children traveled to Iowa for a warm, summer visit. Of course, I had to take several pictures of my niece and nephew but this was a sweet scene of the three of them. Stay tuned for upcoming snapshots of the "little visitors."

What's In A Shed?
In a long-standing, large farm shed, the answer is everything. And, it makes for some interesting still-life photos like today's featured shot. What do you notice? A corn stalk, a fence post and a pickax?

A Monarch Butterly
A few days ago while standing near several flower gardens and potted arrangements, I was delighted to see this beautiful guest and quickly ran to get the camera. Although the winged visitor tolerated my presence, it repeatedly tried to elude the giant camera lens...well, I suspect that big lens resembled a predator! Anyway, I was thrilled to capture a few images of this gorgeous monarch butterfly and appreciate its patience with the photographer.
