Tiger Lilies

"A lily or a rose never pretends,
and its beauty is that it is what it is."

Succulents

Given my love for patterns and nature, succulents, with their many shapes and repetitive forms, speak to my heart.  May you enjoy these images as much as I do.

“You can’t buy happiness,
but you can buy even more succulents,
and that’s pretty much the same thing.”

Going Bananas

Alliums

As spring approaches summer, these beautiful globe-like flowers are showstoppers in landscaping.  With tall thin stems, they are like gigantic lollipops in yummy colors.  The bulbs are available in many colors which create even more interest and variation in an outdoor space.

Definitely, they are something beautiful.

Another Nest

These images show a Robin's nest that was built only a foot above the ground in a local garden center.  How interesting, right?!  Although I like to think I see most things, I must admit that the clerk showed me this hidden gem.  So, have a look at the two masterpieces, including the amazing nest and the mostly-featherless new arrival.

And, welcome to earth, my little friend.

Ribbons & Classes

This summer I am offering virtual drawing classes that incorporate the Zentangle art method.  Specifically, there are classes for children as well as for adults.  Each class may be purchased separately through the links below; hence, you only pay for the classes that you can attend.

Each link contains specific details for each class.  Find the date(s) that best fit(s) your schedule as there are classes in June, July and August.

Each class is separate; therefore, you must get a ticket for each class.

The classes are fun and relaxing as we put pen to paper following my simple, step-by-step instructions using repetitive patterns.  Only a few basic supplies are needed.

Also, please help me spread the word by sharing this with friends and family.  Thank you.

Nest or Lima Beans?

These are images of a chipping sparrow nest; however, interestingly, an app that identifies items in a photo stated that the objects (in my photo) were lima beans....
....ponder that and laugh....and sigh.... and go on with your day and doing whatever you love, including eating some lima beans.  Or go walking in the woods looking for lima beans in groups of five or six huddled close to one another in a bowl of sticks, mud, hair and small twigs....and laugh again.
