In these parts of Iowa the strawberry patches are finally full of juicy red fruit. Unlike last year with little rainfall, all of the moisture we have had has helped give us a bumper crop of plump berries. They are delightfully sweet and tender. If you are hungry for strawberries and ice cream, now is the perfect time.
