Last summer after a warm, busy day photographing outdoor events I was driving home (and looking forward to a shower and rest) when I noticed in the rearview mirror the fading sunset and this amazing silhouette. So, I quickly slowed the vehicle, turned onto a nearby gravel road, grabbed the tripod and starting taking shots as the sun dropped below the horizon and the brilliant orange blaze illuminated the late-evening sky. What a wonderful surprise!
